Using Windows Explorer, backup your entire AutoCAD 2002 CD to your hard drive, to a folder path c:\Autodesk\CDs\acad2002
Start the Longbow Converter tool
select the 2nd tab titled “Old AutoCAD Installer Reviver“
Using the ‘…’ button, pick the c:\Autodesk\CDs\acad2002folder (where you just copied your 2002 CD)
Click the “Run Old Installer” button.
Read and understand all the prompts before pressing OK.
Once the setup starts, stop and read the next step…
In the setup program, navigate through each setup dialog as normal, except when you get to the installation folder, **it’s vitally important to make sure you install to c:\acad2002 (not Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD 2002 as usually prompted by default)**
IMPORTANT NOTE: You may find that entering the path C:\acad2002 may not take (a bug in the AutoCAD 2002 installer). In that case, you will need to select the installation folder C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD 2002 in step (5) below
Do not reboot if prompted to do so
Once installed, go back to the Converter tool…
Select the 3rd tab titled “Old AutoCAD Program Reviver“
Using the ‘…’ button, pick the newly installed c:\acad2002folder
click “Fix Old Program“.
Now run your AutoCAD 2002 and completely register as normal. Once registered, exit AutoCAD and continue to the next step…
I just joined the Longbow Software team as a Software Engineer, and I have gladly offered to post some informative blogs for you all to read. Check on the left there, for all my blog entries...
I have successfully completed the AutoCAD 2002 installation using the OLD AUTOCAD INSTALLER REVIVER on Windows 10 up to very end when suddenly both softwares stalled and I had to manually abort installation using task manager. I am not convinced that this Longbow software works correctly as there wasn't any massage from it when installation of Autocad2002 on windows10 stopped.
The ACAD installer errors just before the end "error with license management system Error 43641" On OK, the installer completes so I can use Longbow tab 3 (with "success")
On starting ACAD 2002, I get 'Error loading cdilla dll'
Can you please help?
@Patrick - I don't think "locked" AutoCAD 2002 is supported on 64bit Windows, only the US "unlocked" version

I have a boxed retail home version of AutoCAD 2002 (designed for NT & Win 2000) which I wish to use under Windows 10.
I purchased today Longbow Converter v9.16 (home licence), and followed carefully instructions at https://blog.longbowsoftware.com/install-autocad-2002-on-windows-7-or-windows-8/, but get errors.
